Project 365: Day 5
A day at Emar’s Wavepool!
It’s summertime! And for our office, it could only mean one thing! it’s funfamilia day!
Every summer, our company sponsors employees and 2 of our families or friends for a day out at a resort of choice. This year was Emar’s wavepool. It will be my first time so I admit I’m a little excited. I brought along my husband Darwin and my brother Gogo with Netnet. Extra ticket from Mareng Angelique:-)
It was a hot day, but I had so much fun watching the kids. The kids who did not care if they look good in their swimwear. The kids who ate the ice cream with so much gusto that they did not care if eating much will make them gain weight. The kids who did not care about the sun’s extreme hotness even if it makes them all tanned. The kids, who just had so much fun without any inhibitions.
But because we can’t take the heat anymore,we decided to watch some movie. Kung Fu Panda it is. It was funny, and best of all, we had free donuts!
Come late afternoon, we returned to the wavepool and give the wave some try. It was awesome!, it was fun!
To sum it all up, my saturday, was double extraordinary!
Project 365: Day 4
SIOPAO :-)
Siopao has been one of my favorite celebratory food since childhood, ever! While other kids are celebrating over ice cream or cake, we usually celebrate over Siopao. Yes! that fluffy white piece of pie is our favorite snack every after our annual recognition day. Papa Boy Tan would usually park along Magsaysay avenue to buy take out siopao in Davao Famous Restaurant.
Yesterday, I craved for the Famous Siopao for lunch. Fortunately, my thoughtful husband remembered and brought some for dinner. Davao Famous will forever be a part of me, but that would be a different post:-)
Anyhoo, their siopao is still my favorite among others. When you get to have a feel of the food, you’ll know its loaded with lots of goodness inside. Try to pick it up and you’ll notice its distinct weight. Take a bite and you’ll know you are in a fluffy cloud of siopao haven. Chew it slow and easy and you’ll know that ingredients for this piece is made oly from the best there is!
Most important part, when I get to take a piece of it, flashbacks come running through me. My childhood, a symbolism of success, a symbolism of destiny (to be posted soonest!), and a symbolism of ancient Davao and its legacy.

Past is Past…
I am posting a “more than a decade” old pic of me during my Grade School graduation.
May 15, 2010 can also be deemed as my doomsday when three of my “most behaved” and “most understanding” team mates graced our residence for our village fiesta. Papa Boy Tan, as always, brought out all of my old school pics for entertainment’s sake , including this. I am convinced they were entertained, because everytime they see this pic, they all laugh out to their heart’s content..:-)
Thanks to Igor, Ling Ling and Tabel for inspiring me to write this post…
*Post Note*
You’ll appreciate this pic more if you imagine a voice over of a hotdog commercial…
Dear Diary,
Carlo sat beside me today…He’s so cute..
Sabi nya I’m pretty, kaya lang I’m fat..
Mula ngayon,
GOODBYE chocolates,
GOODBYE hotdog….
ay….
Goodbye CARLO….
*I hope the ghost of my past made you laugh today! :-)*
Project 365: Day 2
My SPECIAL RED Bangle
My friend Thea just got back from her Beijing trip, and she gave me this red bangle! What made this soooo special is that she walked and looked for this particular bangle all over their shopping spots. So sweet of her…
I met her one during my company’s series of interviews and we have been friends from then on. Her sweet and innocent aura totally complemented my risk-taker and adventurous spirit. She also dedicates her life exploring countries and wandering out and about. Our “almost monthly” dates are always a breathe of fresh air. She listens without judgement, and also understands both sides of my story.
True, in this lifetime, you stumble upon friends who will stay till the end.. *wink wink*
Project 365: DAY 1
TAHOOOO!!!
This is sold near our office gate every lunchtime. Manong Taho expertly scrapes layers upon layers of soft, nutritious soya topped with delectable tapioca and some syrup…As an added bonus, he finishes it with a dash of evaporated milk..Hmmmm, this is heaven on a sunny day!
I prefer mine with half of the intended syrup. I’d rather not load up on sugar…fatty fatty!!;-)
P.S:
Taho has 54-80 calories and 14% protein. A good choice over the favorite minatamis na saging…
Looking forward for another taho day!
